We have an immediate opportunity with a leading solutions provider of Freight Forwarding and Project Logistics for aBusiness Development Manager (Dublin based) to join their team. Client offers multi-modal logistics solutions and supply chain optimisation programs, carrier network and technology solutions to manage all aspects of customers supply chain programs through process development, Optimization and day to day Management of the logistics function through our consultative engagement programs. 

Due to our exciting expansion plans, the business requires an experienced Senior Commercial or Key Account Manager level candidate with a background in solutions sales. 

By strategically managing the key accounts within the industry, you will utilise your high level relationships to directly impact business acquisition and generate revenue through your ability to build relationships and sell logistics services and supply chain solutions. 

This role requires both commercial acumen, as well as being able to demonstrate high levels of operational skill. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in winning new industry contracts and developing existing client relationships. 

The Role: 

The business is seeking someone with a background in Senior Sales Management and Business Development - with a strong emphasis on solution selling as the candidate will be tasked with leading the sales function in the Dublin Market. 

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the promotion and active selling of the company’s services, which could be Logistics, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain Solutions.

As a Business Development Manager you will be ensuring that you manage all opportunities effectively and strategically guiding the sales prospects to a conversion and on boarding.

Targeting new prospects solutions across the specific target markets in multiple industries, you will utilise your high level relationships to help set the structures in place to secure sales growth and to align the business with the strategic company objectives.

As a Business Development Manager, you must be constantly seeking new opportunities and developing yourself to respond to the demands of the environment and business competitors.

You will be expected to service the needs of existing customers ensuring all aspects of their needs are being met and develop any opportunities arising.

This position will involve fostering new relationships, taking final decisions on which to keep and generating new business to be fostered for the long-term at corporate, local, and international levels. 

 The Requirements:

The business is seeking someone with a background in Contract Logistics, & SCM in a senior sales and commercial, level to control the Regional Sales function, with a high level of technical understanding and input.

 You should possess at least 8 years’ experience in 3PL, consistently performing to ensure sales targets are hit and the logistical aspects are satisfied on a day-to-day, and strategic, level, with local, domestic, and multi-national organisations. 

Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills through prior experience at an International level.
