Due to ongoing business growth, we are currently recruiting for a Logistics Representative to join one of our multinational pharma clients based in Shannon, Co. Clare.  With immediate start, position will report to Logistics Manager, will be offered as full time permanent position.

Duties:

  • Creation of receipt and delivery documents from the ERP system.
  • Creation of Purchase orders and Sales orders on the ERP system.
  • Booking in deliveries and liaising with customer warehouses.
  • Booking sub-contractors and ensuring they deliver within agreed terms.
  • Tracking and monitoring of key shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaising with customers in relation to delivery information,
  • Assistance with stock counts, warehouse receipts etc if required.
  • Ensuring appropriate insurance coverage for all transports.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product integrity within the warehouse.
  • Liaising with all other departments within the company to ensure performance objectives are maintained.
  • Obtaining Proof of Delivery and temperature print-outs for all transports, and maintaining logs and files of said documents.
  • Developing transportation relationships.
  • Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
  • Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
  • Assist management in analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
  • Ensure product import or export processes are in compliance with customs regulatory or legal requirements.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
  • Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Track and trace of key shipments.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as deemed necessary by your manager or management in general

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in similar role in Logistics/Transport or related fields.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills – and knowledge of SAP or similar would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent English both written and spoken
  • Self motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of team.
