We have an exciting new opportunity for Warehouse & Production Operator with multinational client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. Position will report to Production Supervisor and be offered on initial 12 month contract with potential for longer term.
Job purpose:
To plan and carry out activities relating to the overall flow of materials, thereby contributing to order completion enabling the company to maintain service level agreements in place with its customers. Whilst contributing to order completion, the highest level of quality control demanded by the company must be maintained at all times. The Production & Warehouse Operator ensures the production and shipping area is a safe environment by contributing to a positive health & safety culture and performing stipulated and general safe work practices at all times.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Part-take in all training deemed necessary by the company and identify areas where additional training may prove beneficial in improving personal performance in the role of Production & Warehouse Operator
- Support the development and training of other staff members where required
- Contribute ideas through the Production Manager, Production Supervisor for process improvements and optimisation specific to the role of Production Technician & Warehouse Operative
- Unpack incoming raw material from suppliers
- Receive material for QC on ERP system, and prioritise and schedule QC activities
- Prioritise and schedule QC activities
- Using the Quality System determine the appropriate QC Work Instruction for material
- Execute all the operational QC steps detailed in the relevant work instruction
- Ensure warehouse related work instructions are kept up to date and relevant to any changes in packing and shipping requirements
- Enter the QC analytical results, generate reports for conforming material
- Isolate and generate NCR and disposition any non-conforming material
- Store QC conforming raw material ready for batch production
- For customer orders and ERP system stock demands determine the material packing priority in order to maximise on time order completion.
- Containerise finished goods ensuring the integrity of label with contents and elimination of all contaminants
- Produce material which is available to meet customer orders or minimum stock levels per demands
- Prepare goods to meet onward shipping to customers
- Ensure all consumables are available in order to meet day to day production activities
- Support other activities as necessary
