We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Design Engineer with significant County Limerick based employer. Position will be offered on 2 year contract and will report to Head of Engineering.
The Role
- Collaborates with project team including electrical/instrument engineers, DCS engineers, operations personnel and others to implement designs
- Conducts surveys and reports on site equipment and installations
- Generates as built drawings of existing installations and updating existing documentation
- Generates electrical design drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation to deliver the electrical and/or instrumentation requirements of the project
- Specifies and procure electrical and instrument equipment according to appropriate standards
- Prepares project documents, health and safety plans, specifications, bills of materials and material purchases as required to implement the projects
- Liaises with the project team and contractors during installation, pre-commissioning including commissioning and testing of electrical and instrument installations
- Works with the plant personnel to optimise electrical and instrument performance
- Ensures all equipment is registered on the maintenance management systems and project documentation is filed appropriately
- Reports regularly on project status, schedule and budget
Essential Requirements
- Degree Qualified Electrical and / or Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent English
- Authorisation to work in EU.
