We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician with long established Shannon based multinational client to join their team on shift, Mon-Thu day/night shift basis. Ideal candidate will have electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
Position will be offered on initial 6 month contract, with significant opportunity to extend for the right candidate.
Job description:
Responsible for the maintenance, upgrade and support of department machinery and equipment to support achievement of production metrics and department KPI’s.
Key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
Work as part of first line maintenance team to support the on-going maintenance of production equipment.
Ensure that equipment maintenance is consistently completed in line with preventative maintenance schedule.
Ensure that all work carried out is in line with company Health & Safety Standards.
Work with Production & Engineering team to advise and provide input to new manufacturing capital investments and new product development
Responsible for installation, maintenance and overhaul of equipment as required
Have a flexible attitude towards working hours to cover breakdowns and plant shutdown periods
Act as Department representative at Engineering Meetings as required, to represent the Maintenance function & to assist in New Product development.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Diploma Mechanical/Electrical complemented or Trade qualification
Previous electrical/mechanical maintenance experience on production lines.
Excellent troubleshooting & analytical skills are required.
Good attention to detail and can work on own initiative.
Drive and energy to assist in new product development and new process development.
Excellent communicator with significant ability to influence.
Strong process improvement background gained in a maintenance environment
3 + years plus experience gained in a hands-on maintenance environment with a strong continuous improvement
