We currently have an excellent new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a multinational client at their facility based in County Clare. Position would ideally suit Electronics grad with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be a key member of the engineering team at The Company, responsible for ensuring that all products are of the highest quality and meet customer requirements. Ensure product is correctly processed through screening and sampling operations as required by governing bodies and internal requirements. Create and maintain Process and Product definition with associated process controls and automation initiatives, ensuring continuous operational and business improvement.
This position will provide you with in house training and you will be coached and mentored by senior engineers with experience in the area, in addition to an excellent salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project work on high reliability screening including HTRB, Burn-in and electrical screening principles.
- Work with team engineers on site equipment appraisal initiatives for process standardization, quality improvement, and H&S developments where identified.
- Understand product, processes & equipment and provide direction on dispositioning of product through process steps.
- Ensure compliance with industry test methods and standards.
- Understanding of reliability theory and principles and their application to The Company products and processes.
- Drive data and root cause analysis with a view to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Originate and develop technical advancements and solutions to technical issues, to maintain The Company as the leader in our industry.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering/Physics (preferably Electronic Engineering).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, DOE, DMAICs or FMEAs is an advantage.
- Strong electrical fundamentals aptitude.
- Demonstrable ability to learn and retain product details.
- Good communication skills with strong attention to detail, problem solving skills.
- Candidates will have the ability to work in collaboration with others on a project team and independently on tasks.
- Good PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Flexible and an excellent team play.
- Fluent English both written and verbal.
