Quality Engineer
eFlexes are currently recruiting a Quality Engineer for a new Shannon based Client. Part of a world-wide group, our client offers the exciting opportunity to join a new and growing team. The new Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to not only work on site level, but to interact and work with a global quality team.
As Quality Engineer your focus will be to plan and carry out activities related to the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System; develop current and future product QC techniques and methodologies; and maintain the compliance and risk registers providing quarterly reports to the management team.

Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and monitor the calibration of all company equipment ensuring a readily auditable record system is maintained
- Evaluate through internal auditing the adequacy of the Quality Management System of Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Evaluate audit findings and implement an effective CAPA system
- Periodically review and edit current quality assurance procedures and develop new QA related procedures and work instructions where needs are identified.
- Maintain a sampling plan to ensure that day to day Quality Control checks are performed in accordance with the quality objectives detailed in the Quality Policy, and that soft copy QC records are maintained
- Maintain and update the Risk and compliance registers
- Facilitate working groups established to resolve identified risk and compliance gaps.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification
- Ideally 4/5 years' experience in a similar role
- Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, and/or internal auditor experience
- Strong evidence of delivering results and continuous improvement initiatives in both Quality and Environment aspects.
- Hands-on, able to work in detail with the ability to take a strategic overview
- Proven ability to provide support, guidance and training when required.
- Confident at challenging the status quo, both influencing and challenging decisions
- Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritisation, planning and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and approachable with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
