We are very pleased to be working on a new position for a Facilities Manager based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a permanent position and will be an exciting and rewarding role for the successful candidate.
Working within a fast-paced environment, the Facilities Manager will manage all aspects of the organisation's facilities which incorporates multiple buildings and acreage.

Manage the electrical, mechanical, operative and engineering teams to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of the building and exterior infrastructure to the highest safety, regulatory and operational standards.

Control of Maintenance budgets including management of costs (in particular overtime, repairs & renewal spend), staffing levels etc to ensure maximum financial return for the company.

Develop and maintain a priority system for managing maintenance requests.

Respond to callouts when emergencies occur.

Effective management of energy costs and the ongoing implementation of cost saving initiatives in this area.

Monitor and review contractors’ performance, tracking costs, trends and incidents as required.

Represent the Organisation in a technical capacity whenever required.

Promote good maintenance (including planned maintenance) standards throughout the Organisation.

Demonstrate leadership of the facilities team and complete all line management responsibilities for staff.

Develop and refine KPIs and efficient reporting mechanisms for stakeholders at all levels to demonstrate progress in completing maintenance tasks by the team.

Promote safe work practices throughout the Facilities team.

Liaise with all other departments & customer tenants within the on facilities matters.

Plan, organise and direct maintenance works within the airport in an efficient and effective manner that meets the Airports operational needs.

Ensure regulatory standards, in accordance with current certification specification basis, are maintained at all times & adherence to the safety management systems.

Prepare tender documents for minor works.

Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and within public procurement guidelines.

Ensure adequate supervision of external contractors.

Act as investigating officer in internal enquiries and incidents.

Participate with the implementation of the ongoing capital investment programme.

Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in senior facilities and management roles.

Excellent working knowledge and understanding of facilities systems; BMS Systems, HVAC Systems, Electrical and Mechanical plant services and installations, Emergency Systems.

Excellent working knowledge of PV and renewable energy systems.

Excellent organisational skills, strong management and leadership skills.
