Accounting Assistant
A well-established Shannon based company are looking for an Accounting Assistant on an initial short-term contract.
The new Accounting Assistant will support accounting operations to deliver flawless data to their customers, and collaborate closely with an energetic and supportive accounting team to solve complex issues.
This is a challenging position that facilitates the company’s operations and service delivery, and will involve a variety of tasks that will include:

Daily processing of supplier invoices

Responding to all internal and external queries in a timely manner

Ability to work efficiently to achieve month end completion to Finance timelines for trading period deadlines

Managing supplier accounts and answering supplier queries

Manage the accounts payable inbox

Creditors Reconciliation
-
General Administration duties, including answering calls when required.
Candidates should have:

Strong IT skills with previous knowledge of accounting systems

Experience using Excel
-
ERP System -Oracle or SAP would be an advantage

Excellent office administration skills

A good team spirit with proven team working skills

Excellent communication skills
-
Must have fluent spoken and written English

Proven ability to use initiative

Comfortable using modern online productivity tools such as MS Teams / Outlook

The capacity to work at a high level under pressure to meet deadlines
