eFlexes are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Engineer for a Large Multi National Manufacturing plant in Co. Clare. The role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all H&S projects and initiatives in the plant involving our people, processes, machinery and equipment.
This is initially a 12 month contract role
The Responsibilities
Ensure compliance across the plant to Company, Corporate, Legal and Environmental responsibilities
Provide expert advice on a range of specialist areas, eg. Fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery.
Audit performance and compliance with policies, programmes and procedures
Carrying our risk assessments, communicating findings and ensuring actions are closed within allocated timeframes
Advise and represent the company on all regulatory actions
Liaise with external Health and Safety related bodies
Complete incident investigation activities including the identification of root cause and correction action.
Participate in local and group wide Health and Safety meetings
Deliver Health and Safety inductions to new hires, prepare and deliver toolbox talks, ensuring all regulatory H&S training are maintained and up to date
Assist with the development of H&S projects and policies
Assist in H&S reporting requirements
To undertake any other duties required associated with Health and Safety matters to meet the needs of the business.
Education & Qualifications
The successful candidate will hold a diploma/degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or appropriate qualification
Minimum 3 years Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
