Staff Nurse
eFlexes have a new opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join a lead agency in Community Healthcare as part of the Children’s Disability Network Teams. These teams provide services from 0-18 under the National Progressing Disability Services Programme. We are looking for a Candidates who are committed to providing a person centred socially inclusive service to people with an intellectual disability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical, psychological, and social care for service users.
• Recognise and report problems, implementing necessary programs.
• Comply with regulations and standards for residential care.
• Foster parental and family involvement, welcoming visitors.
• Create a therapeutic environment tailored to individuals' needs.
• Incorporate expertise to enhance care quality.
• Design and coordinate education, training, and work programs.
• Foster integration and community engagement.
• Maintain necessary records and reports.
• Manage, develop, and support staff, ensuring compliance and training.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and attend meetings.
• Promote effective communication and dignity at work.
• Promote awareness of learning disability in the community.
• Stay updated on relevant guidelines and policies.
• Act as a Key Worker as required.
• Drive Foundation's Transport with a valid license and insurance.
Qualifications and Skills:
• A qualification in Nursing and Registered with An Bord Altranais (R.N.I.D. qualification desirable).
• The ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise service users/staff.
• Experience in managing behaviour which challenges.
• A full Irish/EU Driving Licence is a requirement for the post
