eFlexes is currently recruiting for an English/Italian-speaking candidate with an interest in Irish history to join our client based in Co. Clare. This is a seasonal role from March to September and will be rostered over a 7-day period, so flexibility is required. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Italian and English and have a passion for history and culture
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing guided tours of the castle in English and/or another European language (Italian)
- Adapting and delivering your script to accommodate groups, schools, and various nationalities.
- Having a good knowledge of Irish history.
- Providing outstanding customer service in a friendly and outgoing manner.
- Reporting any health and safety matters to the Manager.
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Castle Guides Supervisor.
- Handling ad hoc requests for private and corporate tours.
Essential Requirements
- Fluent in Italian.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Confident speaking in public.
- Capable of working independently with visitors while also collaborating in a team environment.
- Good knowledge of Irish history.
- Flexibility is required, including working rostered duties, weekends, and public holidays.
- Wearing period costumes during working hours is mandatory.
