We're seeking a vibrant and customer-oriented Retail Store Assistant to become an integral part of a flourishing local business. In this role, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth retail operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and verifying new deliveries, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Accurately pricing all inventory stock and coordinating restocking efforts with shop clerks.
- Processing retail stock orders and receipts using internal purchasing systems.
- Maintaining optimal stock levels, reporting low stock, and conducting periodic cycle counts.
- Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising and store conditions are maintained.
- Processing and reporting stock breakages, transporting stock between company sites.
- Keeping the working environment clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Prioritizing tasks for maximum efficiency and participating in relevant training sessions.
- Undertaking any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of stocked merchandise.
