Our Client, one of the fastest-growing B2B SaaS businesses in Europe and the US, is expanding their Irish operations due to phenomenal growth, and are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer.
Reporting directly to the CTO, the opportunity will involve providing guidance and support to internal and external customers on infrastructure provision and the tools required to support an organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Senior Engineers to hit the ground running in shaping and driving the infrastructure needed to achieve the company’s ongoing growth and vision. This role also offers an excellent base salary, benefits and attractive hybrid working model.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing technical direction to teams involved in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software
• Making a conscious effort to drive automation and eliminate manual work in building infrastructure and performing releases, and identifying existing processes that can be automated
• Making changes and improvements while considering the organisation’s IT infrastructure
• Maintain, and automate, the company’s cloud infrastructure
• Building of security during all development stages of software systems
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA Security and Privacy Laws, and having a good knowledge of these regulations
Technical Background Requirements:
• Extensive experience with Docker and CI/CD solutions (e.g., Jenkins, TFS/ADO, GitLab).
• Prior experience with with Azure Cloud, containerised workloads and orchestration technologies.
• Understand Azure, Microsoft Technologies, Git and RESTful web application technologies.
• Strong understanding of fundamental network technologies (e.g. DNS, Load Balancing, SSL,
TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP)
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace).
The ideal candidate:
• 5+ Years’ experience in a similar role, with expertise in automation, cloud engineering and virtualisation
• Eligibility to work in Ireland, either remotely or in-office
• Qualification in an Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline is essential
• Understanding of or prior experience with Project Management Principles
Strong self-starter with experience large-scale deployment of software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and demonstrated background in building strong working relationships
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work constructively with others and have a positive outlook
