The position of I.S Technical Officer is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in playing a significant role within Clare Tourism and will be based in Ennis, Co. Clare.
The successful applicant will report to the Assistant I.C.T systems Manager and provide ICT support and with a large-scale investment imminent will support the digital programme.

Acting as first point of contact for ICT support and assistance.

Providing telephone/email/remote desktop/desk side support for users onsite and to those working remotely on the full range of ICT services available, including Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016/M365 office productivity suites, PC’s, Laptops, Printers and AV equipment.

Configuration of hardware, peripherals, and software installations, including support for new end-user device build developments, etc.

Managing handover and briefing of users in the use of laptops and PC’s.

Updating asset register.

Any other work that may be assigned by the ICT helpdesk Manager.

User account management.

Fault finding with escalation to Third line and external 3rd parties when required.

Provide technical assistance and support to end users, promptly resolving hardware and software issues.

Diagnose and troubleshoot network and connectivity problems, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.

Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment.

Collaborate with fellow IT team members to identify and implement effective IT solutions and enhancements.

Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.

A recognised Third Level IT qualification

Experience in an Information Technology environment including relevant practical experience as an IT Technician in a similar role

Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Clients OS

Familiarity with Office 365

Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls

Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle hardware and software-related issues.

Strong interpersonal skills

Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines

PC literate with proficiency in all Microsoft products and experience with the administration and operation of managed service desk systems

Full Drivers Licence with access to own car.
