eFlexes is seeking a skilled LEAN Project Engineer on behalf of a Global Leading Aviation company based in Shannon, Co Clare. 

 

General Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the hands-on management and reporting of the Production hall transformation, including timeline management, stakeholder liaison, and progress reporting.
  2. Support all Continuous Improvement activities.
  3. Assist in audits of TPM/6S activities.
  4. Collaborate with Engineering to drive process improvement.
  5. Drive and support structured problem-solving processes such as Kaizen, A3, and 6 Sigma.
  6. Provide LEAN perspective support for all NPI activities.
  7. Challenge conventional thinking to enhance performance.
  8. Support Standard Work and Set-up improvement activities, providing mentorship for product engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, steer, and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, resources, and budgets while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide KPI and status reporting at project and sub-project levels.
  • Establish an effective communications plan to ensure transparency of progress.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Quality departments as needed.
  • Drive LEAN initiatives such as 6S/TPM, Standard Work, set-up reductions, and Value Stream mapping.
  • Manage projects under your responsibility to excellence standards.
  • Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures.

Person Specification: The ideal candidate should possess:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
  • Proven expertise in implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated planning and project management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify potential project barriers.
  • Expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, SMED, TPM, and schedule management.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with other functional departments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and barriers.
  • Diplomacy and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement through leadership and motivational techniques.

Education:

  • Degree/Masters in an engineering-related discipline or equivalent.
