eFlexes is seeking a skilled LEAN Project Engineer on behalf of a Global Leading Aviation company based in Shannon, Co Clare.
General Responsibilities:
- Lead the hands-on management and reporting of the Production hall transformation, including timeline management, stakeholder liaison, and progress reporting.
- Support all Continuous Improvement activities.
- Assist in audits of TPM/6S activities.
- Collaborate with Engineering to drive process improvement.
- Drive and support structured problem-solving processes such as Kaizen, A3, and 6 Sigma.
- Provide LEAN perspective support for all NPI activities.
- Challenge conventional thinking to enhance performance.
- Support Standard Work and Set-up improvement activities, providing mentorship for product engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, steer, and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, resources, and budgets while identifying and mitigating risks.
- Provide KPI and status reporting at project and sub-project levels.
- Establish an effective communications plan to ensure transparency of progress.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Quality departments as needed.
- Drive LEAN initiatives such as 6S/TPM, Standard Work, set-up reductions, and Value Stream mapping.
- Manage projects under your responsibility to excellence standards.
- Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures.
Person Specification: The ideal candidate should possess:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
- Proven expertise in implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated planning and project management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify potential project barriers.
- Expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, SMED, TPM, and schedule management.
- Excellent collaboration skills with other functional departments.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and barriers.
- Diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement through leadership and motivational techniques.
Education:
- Degree/Masters in an engineering-related discipline or equivalent.
