We have an immediate opportunity for Procurement & Logistics Team Lead with long established Shannon based client. The role will involve the sourcing and expediting of materials, vendor management across a broad range of national and international vendors. The role will also require management of all inbound and outbound deliveries. To position will be offered on permanent full time basis.
Responsibilities:
• Management of team and allocation of tasks
• Releasing of BOMs for projects
• Sourcing of suppliers and materials
• Management of Vendor Performance – at both start-up and an ongoing basis
• Co-Ordination of logistics including carriers, customs and commercial invoices
• Keeping up to date with changing regulatory requirements and responsibilities in relation to the manufacture and transport of product
• Selection of optimum transportation methods
• Work closely with equipment design and build to ensure that the supply of materials meets the required deadlines
• Create and manage workstreams and initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement within the department and across our supplier base
Key Skills & Attributes:
• Previous team lead experience
• Previous experience of MRP or ERP systems
• Previous experience of high paced working environment
• Experience in the Electro /Mechanical industry
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise
• Flexible & adaptable, ability to change focus aligned to business needs
• Ability to influence others
• Proactive and solutions focused with good organisational skills

Qualifications:
Essential - Irish Institute and Purchasing Materials Management Cert or relevant equivalent qualification
Desirable - Irish Institute and Purchasing Materials Management Cert or Relevant Degree
