Job Description:

Job Overview:

  • The Production Team Lead role in Segmentation involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure operational goals and targets are consistently achieved.
  • Effectively manage Production Team Members, including responsibilities such as absence management, performance management, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Take ownership of daily KPIs and report key actions while coordinating with support functions.
  • Ensure the Business Unit meets production, service, and productivity targets.
  • Drive World Class Manufacturing activities, including process confirmations, Practical Problem Solving (PPS), Continuous Improvement (CI), 6S, 3C’s, and team development.
  • Promote Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) daily and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with staff members at all levels of the organisation.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Manage production to ensure productivity targets are met, championing World Class Manufacturing and driving improvements in product quality and consistency through the E6 production system.
  • Drive daily actions around key metrics in collaboration with Shift Leads.
  • Align all shifts in the Business Unit with operational goals and targets.
  • Support all staff members in achieving maximum KPIs.
  • Lead transformational projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, communicate effectively, and influence team members.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of lean principles and process improvement. Green Belt certification is advantageous.
  • Openness to new methodologies and the ability to follow up on them independently.
  • A motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a strong ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and across various mediums.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with world-class manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of JDE, DAS, and Geneo systems is desirable.
