Due to ongoing business growth, we currently have an excellent new opportunity with Shannon based client for Team Leader to join their team.  Position will be offered as full-time permanent opportunity with significant opportunity for career development.

Job Purpose:

Plan, delegate, and carry out activities related to the overall flow of materials, thereby contributing to order completion and maintaining service level agreements with customers. The Team Leader also plays a primary role in ensuring the area is a safe environment by promoting a positive health and safety culture and always performing as per stipulated and general safe work practices.

This position would suit candidates currently working as Manufacturing Co-Ordinator interested in taking the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the production area, ensuring staff are level-loaded and production activities are prioritized in conjunction with committed delivery schedule.
  • Manage workload in line with ERP data in line with targets.
  • Build/maintain a high-performance team within a positive work environment.
  • Escalate material shortages to ensure material planning, minimum, and maximum stock levels are addressed.
  • Participate in process improvements and optimizations specific to roles in the production area.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant procedures and processes, e.g. Quality Management and Health & Safety Systems.
  • Ensure production schedules are consistently kept up to date and reflect latest information.
  • Partake in all training deemed necessary by the company and identify areas where additional training may prove beneficial in improving personal performance in the role of Production Team Lead.
  • Support the development and training of staff.
  • Ensure all consumables are available to meet day-to-day production activities.
  • Support other activities, including reporting as necessary to ensure smooth delivery of services.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in similar role in fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong IT skills specifically Excel and Oracle ERP system or similar
  • Ability to prioritise work load in line with committed delivery schedules
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English both verbal and written.
