Occupational Therapist Lead (Part-Time)
We are recruiting for a Occupational Therapist Lead to support a Part-Time ( 15 hours / week ) fixed term contract based in Dublin which will involve some level of travel on a nationwide basis.
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Clinical Coordination of Occupational Therapy services
- Provide supervision and relevant back up and support to the OT team
- Serves as a point of contact for OT queries
- Develop and ensure adherence to process and procedures related to the operation of the OT function
- Liaise with clients as required to understand their requirements and provide input on recommended action plans
- Expert knowledge of most recent regulatory standards regarding Occupational Therapy and ensuring staff are up to date on same
- Recruitment and induction of suitable qualified and experienced staff to support our clients requirements
- Providing mentorship to Junior OT's on devising and carrying out appropriate assessments (e.g. seating, eating and drinking, pressure relief, activities of daily living etc) which may include advising on the use of relevant medical equipment or aids etc.
- Coaching the OT team on documenting all assessments and recommendations
The person should possess the following:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good practical skills
- Proven ability to lead a team of Occupational Therapists
- Problem solving approach
- Ability to plan and deliver effective patient-centered care in a resourceful manner
Prerequisites:
- Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy
- Current membership of the AOTI and practice insurance
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an OT in the public or private sector
- Experience in the area of Neuro-rehabilitation
