Occupational Therapist - Meath - Adult I.D

We are now recruiting for a part time (1 day per week) Occupational Therapist position in Meath, working with adults with developmental disorders and/ or intellectual disability.

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

• Assess the case history of patients
• Devise and carry out appropriate assessments (e.g. functional, sensory diet plan, work skills, etc)
• Provide interventions to enable the individual engage in meaningful activities
• Support with the development of the Multi-Disciplinary Team
• Work with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, carers and speech & language therapists.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Good practical skills
• Ability to work in a team
• An inquiring and creative mind
• Problem –solving approach

Prerequisites:

• Experience in providing OT to individuals with intellectual disability.
• Experience and interest in sensory integration
• Degree qualified
• Membership of the AOTI
• Minimum 1 years’ experience working as an OT in the public or private sector
• CORU registration
