Senior Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)
We are recruiting for a Senior Occupational Therapist to support a Part-Time fixed term contract based in Dublin region.
The person should possess the following:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good practical skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Problem –solving approach
- Sufficient clinical knowledge and awareness of evidence based practice to carry out the duties of the role
- Ability to plan and deliver effective patient-centered care in a resourceful manner
Prerequisites:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current membership of the AOTI and practice insurance
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an OT in the public or private sector
- Experience in the area of Neuro-rehabilitation
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Devising and carrying out appropriate assessments (e.g. seating, eating and drinking, pressure relief, activities of daily living etc) which may include advising on the use of relevant medical equipment or aids etc.
- Documenting all assessments and recommendations
- Working with other health professionals such as nurses, speech therapists, physiotherapists etc to maximize rehabilitation potential
- Liaising with clients’ families and other relevant personnel
- Own transport
