Our Shannon based multinational client currently has an opportunity for Head of Maintenance & Facilities to join their team. Position will be offered on full time permanent basis, with an attractive salary and benefits package and will report to Head of Operations.
Overall Responsibilities:
• Responsible the day-to-day operation and leadership of the Shared Services Area (Chem Clean and Furnaces)
• Responsible for the planning, management and delivery of Maintenance activities plant-wide.
• Support the introduction of new equipment into the facility
• Implementation of predictive maintenance techniques and new technologies
• Ensure the availability/reliability of equipment within required Operational, Quality, Regulatory and Audit parameters (i.e. Controlled Environment).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance:
• Management of Facility Maintenance Team and activities including process/equipment
• Ensure the availability and reliability of all facility equipment.
• Identification of, and replacement planning for, non-supported/unreliable equipment
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Drive further development of TPM procedures to improve reliability/uptime of equipment.
• Strong focus on Continuous Improvement and root-cause fault finding.
• Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures including health and safety.
Service Area:
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of a Services area (12+ processors) to ensure delivery of services in line with agreed product line requirements.
• Management of the production team to ensure achievement of key indices that include Customer deliveries, labour efficiency, overtime management and absenteeism.
• Setting and achieving key performance metrics for the team
• Manage communications within team to ensure all personnel are fully aware of company goals.
• Develop production personnel to ensure sufficient skilled labour is in place to meet Production requirements.
• Work with Engineering and Quality on the identification & implementation of improvement programs.
• Achievement of 6S standards and development of TPM procedures to improve equipment reliability.
Person Specification:
• Technical Degree level preferable
• Proven leadership in the area of facility/maintenance planning and people
• Knowledgeable on best Maintenance practices/technology developments.
• Strong technical background and ability to manage complex activities.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to work closely with Engineering, Quality and other functional departments
• Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and barriers
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
