Operations Manager

Due to continued expansion, our Tipperary based client are looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.

Based in North Tipperary, the Operations Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and have responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing process.

The ideal client will have experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with a hands-on approach and excellent interpersonal skills.  The position is day shift, Monday to Friday, but given the seniority of the role, and the nature of the business, the successful candidate will be required to be flexible in relation to working hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor / Manager to take on a new leadership position with a very dedicated and loyal team.

Candidates should have:

• A minimum of 5 years supervisory / management experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Proven ability to achieve set targets to meet customer requirements
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Lean manufacturing experience  
• Experience in Quality Assurance & Health & Safety
• Documentation Control and ongoing quality improvements
• Experienced in process improvements and change management
• A hands-on attitude, capable of rolling up the sleeves in terms of housekeeping and overall upkeep of the production floor
• Capable of continuously driving the production team to deliver targets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with key customers, re potential issues or complaints.
