Due to ongoing business growth, our West Clare based multinational client has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team.   Position will be offered as full time permanent role, with excellent benefits package including bonus and hybrid working.

Purpose:

Supply-Chain Manager oversees Company’s sourcing, distribution, movement, and storage of its purchased and manufactured products. Has responsibility to ensure an even flow of raw materials to our production department that will help to achieve on time in full shipment targets to our customers. This will include delivery of all raw materials, package, and ship customer orders in accordance with agreed lead times and customer schedules. Work with senior leadership, plant staff and process engineering team to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class delivery service to our end customers.

Responsibilities:

 • Manage the logistics of a high volume of goods in and goods out of raw materials & finished goods.

  • Proactively assess inventory positions and execute plans to drive to the targets.
  • Manage towards a stable Supply Plan and identify root causes and corrective actions in case of deviations.
  •  Ensure safety stocks are in place to enable production lead times for core products to be achieved.
  • Convert site strategy into clear action plans and managing cross-functional teams to achieve KPI's.
  •  Develop and present scenario analyses to support decision making in the Supply Chain.
  •  Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives using problem solving techniques (Operational Excellence, 5S, Lean-Six-Sigma).
  •  Work closely with S&OP teams to ensure alignment between supply chain, sales and planning.
  •  Work closely with NPI (New Product Introduction) team to manage new product introductions
  •  Implement process improvements and leverage the talent of the team to consistently increase performance, productivity, and personnel satisfaction.
  • Management of quality of raw materials including supplier contact, complaints handling, returns & credits.
  •  Works under minimal direction and understand that work is guided by operational & project objectives.
  •  Ensure environmental, quality, health, and Safety compliance standards are exceeded.
  • Develop Consignment stock agreements with key suppliers.
  • Manage monthly cycle-count and end of year stock-take.
  • Monitor performance KPI's and define corrective & preventive actions.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

• Any relevant degree such as Business Operations, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent

 • End to End Supply Chain Planning Experience and Knowledge

 • Knowledge of Export Control and Regulations is an advantage.

 • Ability to analyses complex data and to communicate findings and make recommendations

 • Advanced experience and capability with Excel, Word, and MS Project

 • Ability to lead and develop a team essential

 • Strong Communication Skills

 • Experience in Value Stream Mapping an advantage
