Speech & Language Therapist - Part-time - HealthcareDirect - County Meath
HealthcareDirect are currently looking to employ a part-time Speech & Language Therapist to join our team. You will work 2-3 days per week in County Meath developing your skills working with Adults with Learning Disabilities. You will work in a fully supported environment lead by our Clinical Managers and be given the opportunity to work autonomously in the private healthcare sector. The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Plan and organise individual and group sessions, to include assessment, goal setting and intervention with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism.
- Support service users to develop their skills and knowledge in a range of areas including Communication Passports, Multimedia Technology, Accessible Information, Eating and Drinking.
- Work with other health professionals such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Support Workers and participate in monthly MDT meetings.
- Liaise and communicate with clients’ families and other relevant parties.
- Writing reports and case notes and maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in the service Annual Performance Review System.
- Active engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) e.g. Staff Training Days
- Participate in the service Annual Performance Review System.

Prerequisites:
- Degree qualified
- CORU registration
- Post graduate clinical experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
- Full driver’s license and access to a car
