Equipment Safety Engineer
eFlexes Staffing and Recruitment are excited to announce our new recruitment campaign for the position of Equipment Safety Engineer. This new position will be based in Co. Clare with an innovative and progressive organisation.
The role will offer the individual to become part of a project management team in the management of all machine safety and CE Marking. This also will include site safety.
Due to the nature of our customers business, experience in equipment safety is essential.
What will the role involve?
-Leading a cross functional safety team
-CE Equipment Evaluations
-Lead Safety Risk Assessments on all projects with support from stakeholders
-Co-ordinate and review SISTEMA Calculations with Electrical Team
-Co-ordinate and review sub suppliers’ equipment
-Single point of contact to ensure that we are applying the latest safety standards to both existing & new technologies
-Ensure Noise Measurements are completed on all machines
-Responsible for Ergonomic Assessments
-Create and maintain technical files and generate CE Certificates & labels
-Create and maintain all supporting safety documentation as required by our customers
-Collect CE certs for sub-components
Experience and Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Equipment Safety Engineer role or similar.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software (BSc or BEng) Level 8
-Familiarity or qualification with the Machinery Directive and other related EU directives and standards
-Familiarity or qualifications in the application of US standards desirable
-Machine safety or EHS qualification (such as CMSE®) is an advantage
-Experience in the medical device sector or equipment build industries
-Team lead experience/ Co-ordinating teams desirable
-LOPA, HAZID & HAZOP analysis experience
