Our Client in the Logistics sector has a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, and ambitious, Accounts Assistant to join their progressive and fast moving company based in Shannon.
Reporting directly to the Company Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the Finance Department and will be involved in all aspects of the Accounts function
The key duties for this role will include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Reconciling invoices
- Processing supplier payments for authorisation and allocation against supplier invoices
- Maintenance of supplier ledger including monthly supplier reconciliations and dealing with supplier related queries.
- Preparing and issuing monthly customer statements
- Credit Control
- Bank reconciliation process
- Preparing VAT returns for review and submission
- Preparing customer activity and profitability reports
- Ad hoc duties as requested by the finance or other departments
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Accounting Technician qualification or working towards an accounting qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of numerical skills
- Excellent computer knowledge with a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel an essential
- Experienced in the use of accounts packages including: SAGE 50 / SAGE Live
- Excellent attention to detail
- 3+ years in a company accounts department.
- A good team player who must enjoy actively participating in a team environment
