eFlexes Recruitment are currently hiring a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer for a large manufacturing company based in the Cork Suburbs.
Reporting to: Product Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
The position will focus on assisting the manufacturing team in putting Units into production, product cutlists, unit drawings, product configuration, unit reworks, component selection and creation of a costed Bill of Materials.
Objectives:
Typical objectives associated with the position include but are not limited to the following:
-Supporting the Product Engineering Manager in creating spreadsheets that reflect the component and product structure for all Products.
-Working with the fabrication facility to finalise sheet metal components and Bills of Material.
-Producing workshop drawings on AutoCad for unit assembly.
-Measuring up sheet metal for completion of Unit Products.
-Seeking opportunities for cost reductions on the current supply base and within the product design.
-Seeking to reduce product costs by working with engineering and the sales & marketing function to source and specify new /alternative components.
-Producing Operation & Maintenance manuals for key customers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
-Degree/diploma in mechanical/manufacturing/civil engineering or a similar qualification.
-2+ years of experience in a similar role is essential.
-Proficient skills in AutoCad.
-Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
