Laboratory Technician - Shannon

Production Laboratory Technician

We are currently hiring a Laboratory Technician to work with our long-established customer in Shannon, Co. Clare. The Technician will work as part of the shift production team and report to a Senior Analyst. This role would suit a Lab Technician with 1-2 years of experience or a recently qualified graduate.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will come from a previous manufacturing environment. You will have experience in a Quality Assurance/ Quality Control role in a regulated industry. You will have experience in laboratory testing and knowledge of test equipment and methodologies. 

The following experience is preferred but not necessary:

• Good Laboratory Practice

• 3rd level Science Qualification

Responsibilities:

• Routine QC testing in support to the manufacturing plant

• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards

• Carry out equipment checks as per schedule

• Ensure all health and safety standards are complied with

• Work with Process Engineers to troubleshoot production issues

• Work closely with/communicate with colleagues in QC to ensure demand requirements are met within the allocated time frame

Key Requirements & Attributes: 

• 1-2 Years Previous experience

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills.

• Pro-active and a can do mentality

• Flexible and committed attitude with the ability to display initiative

• IT literate with strong Word, Excel, and database skills

• Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern

• Ability to organise and prioritise in a deadline-driven environment
