Part Time Occupational Therapist
Adult Intellectual Disabilities
Co. Cork
We are now recruiting for a part time (1 day per week) Staff Grade Occupational Therapist position in Cork City to with adults with intellectual disabilities
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
• Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment
• Devise appropriate therapeutic interventions for clients (e.g. functional, sensory, etc)
• Provide interventions to enable the individual engage in meaningful activities
• Support with the development of the individual with the Multidisciplinary Team
• Work with other healthcare professionals such as ID nurses, physiotherapists and speech & language therapists
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Problem –solving approach
Prerequisites:
• Experience in providing OT to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Experience and interest in sensory integration
• Occupational Therapy Degree qualified
• Membership of the AOTI
• Minimum 1 years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapy with adults with intellectual disabilities in the public or private sector
• Must have CORU registration in place
• Occupational Therapy private indemnity insurance
• Full clean Irish driving license
