eFlexes currently have a great opportunity for a Quality Engineer with a highly regarded manufacturing Client based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the new Quality Engineer will be responsible for planning and carrying out activities related to the maintenance and development of the Company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001,14001 and 45001). In addition, you will have the opportunity to work in conjunction with the Product Manager, Engineers, and Production to develop QC techniques and methodologies that will ensure the production of consistent high-quality products. As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and contributing to the environmental and H&S requirements to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible operation. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the compliance and risk registers and facilitating workgroups around the associated compliance and risk actions, reporting to the management team on the status and progress of quality, risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:

Maintain and update the IM policies and procedures to reflect and support the growth and development of the IMS

Evaluate through internal auditing the adequacy of The Company Integrated Management System of Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures

Evaluate audit findings and implement effective CAPA system

Periodically review and edit current quality assurance procedures and develop new IM related procedures and work instructions where needs are identified

Plan and monitor the calibration of all the Company equipment ensuring a readily auditable record system is maintained

Maintain a sampling plan to ensure that day to day Quality Control checks is performed in accordance with The Company quality objectives detailed in the Company Quality Policy and that soft copy QC records are maintained

Support the development and training of new starters at the Company ensuring established quality standards are maintained

Actively engage in production activities and maintain proficiency on visual inspection and QC on all Micron product ranges

Maintain and update the Risk and compliance registers
Required Qualifications & Experience:

A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification

Ideally 4/5 years' experience in a similar role

Certified as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, or internal auditor experience

Strong evidence of delivering results and continuous improvement initiatives in both Quality and Environment aspects

Hands-on approach, able to work in detail with the ability to take a strategic overview

Proven ability to provide support, guidance and training when required

Confident at challenging the status quo, both influencing and challenging decisions.

Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritisation, planning and organisational skills.
