A HR Manager opportunity is now available with a well-established company based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Manager will have responsibility for developing, implementing and supporting programs and processes to assist the organization in achieving its business mission and goals, within the context of excellent people management practices and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that the company attracts, develops and retains top talent and achieves superior performance from its human resources and Human Capital Plans and goals for the business are met
- Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding HR practices, policy, and employment laws ensuring the company meets it statutory employment obligations
- Implements and reviews and competitive compensation and benefits programs for the plant and ensures they are accurately administered
- Develop, administer and monitor HR systems that support business performance and ensures adequate HR & Payroll process controls are in place
- Implement Corporate and Division HR programs and projects for the plant
- Ensure the training, development and up-skilling of all employees is planned, executed and maintained
- Ensures the Company meets it statutory health and safety obligations and implements sound health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with HR and Payroll Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Oversee the annual Performance Management process for the plant
- Assist with the development of and support robust communications
- Support a positive ER/IR environment
- Hold the position of Data Protection Co-ordinator for the plant in accordance with GDPR regulations
- Ensure Communications are up-to-date, regular and adequate and support good employee relations and business performance
Education & Qualifications:
- The HR Manager will hold a recognised qualification in HRM
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Human Resources Manager at a senior level with good operational experience
- Previous experience of working within a unionized environment is essential
- Confident, positive attitude and be motivated by the role
- A high level of professionalism and integrity and operates to the highest ethical standards
- Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities when required.
- Willingness to travel when necessary
