Due to continued growth our Shannon based Client, a world leader in the aviation sector, has a new position for a Technologies Support Specialist within its Information and Communications Technology Team.
Reporting to the Head of ICT, the Technologies Support Specialist will join a talented team working for a leading employer, and will enjoy a very competitive salary and benefits package.
In a nutshell, the purpose of the role is to:

Ensure the provision of an effective and appropriate ICT service designed to meet the needs of the business.

Maintain and develop the ICT infrastructure to ensure best value and to support fit for purpose systems and solutions.

Maintain local and wide area networks and support remote working.
-
Implement and develop policies relating to ICT, Information and Security.
-
Deliver the Business statutory roles and licensing requirements relating to ICT, Information and Security.

Provide advanced technical support to staff.

Support ISO27001
Candidates will require:
-
Educated to Degree Level in an ICT discipline or an equivalent level of significant proven experience.

Local and wide area networking.
-
Business continuity and disaster recovery.
-
Database management systems (such as MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL)
-
Managing a virtual server environment (such as vSphere)
-
Data backup and replication systems (such as Veeam)
-
Supporting and developing ICT systems.
-
Procurement and tendering processes.
-
Managing contractors and consultants.
-
Managing LAN/WAN/WIFI technologies ( Cisco )
-
Ability to work a flexible working pattern which may include evenings, weekends and over-night stays away from home.

Ability to travel to sites and destinations in order to fulfil the requirements of the post.

Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Resident in, and legally eligible to work in, Ireland.
