The Assistant ICT Systems Manager is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in playing a significant role within Clare Tourism.
The successful applicant will report to the Project Lead, and provide ICT support; support digital programme; and provide line management for the ICT Team and third-party contractors.
As Assistant I.C.T Systems Manager you will be joining the organisation at a key time when it is heavily investing in the consolidation of it's digital portfolio. This will provide the opportunity for you to implement the recommendations of the Organisations integration report and interim strategic review, integration into the parent organisation and support sites IT during the transition phase.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibility for server technology, active directory, online and onsite Booking Systems, retail systems, Local Network, Backup, security configuration & maintenance of servers.

Work closely with third party IT vendors, hardware teams and management to support all aspects of business-as-usual activities.

Managing second / third level support across sites as required.

Monitors security compliance in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.

Work with the Project Lead to deliver migration and consolidation projects that span areas including hardware, network, cloud, software applications, for both internal and third-party applications.

Engage with business users to understand issues and requirements and provide advice and solutions regarding installed applications and technology.

Develop a deep understanding of business processes and provide expertise in the delivery of IT Service solutions.

Be a proactive member of the IT team to include monitoring of and evaluating new technology/products, keep up to date with the latest technologies and makes recommendations for technology growth.

Assist in the Development of ICT control, procedures, and training documentation.

Deliver and manage specific projects that may be assigned from time to time.

Participate in outreach activities to support associated services as required.
Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes:
-
A recognised Third level IT Qualification.

Experience in an IT environment including practical experience as an IT Technician / Manager.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Clients OS.

Familiarity with Office 365.

Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle hardware and software-related issues.

Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

PC literate with proficiency in all Microsoft products and experience with the administration and operation of managed service desk systems.

Strong business acumen, with the willingness to put in extra effort to complete tasks and meet tight deadlines.

A full Irish Drivers Licence with access to own car is an essential requirement.
