An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a well renowned client based in Co. Clare.
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for operating, maintaining, various mechanical plants, systems, and equipment to the highest standard, ensuring seamless business operations.
This position requires collaboration with different departments within the Engineering team, as well as other crucial stakeholders and specialised contractors, to provide safe and efficient planned and reactive maintenance services.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a leading employer in the region and comes with a very competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ownership and responsibility for effectively and efficiently maintaining the organisation's facilities, including: conveyor systems, air-conditioning systems, lifts and escalators, boiler, car park gates and heating distribution systems.
- Implement planned preventative maintenance program and complete reactive maintenance and repairs/modifications of all mechanical facilities and systems (excluding electrical systems).
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new mechanical plant and equipment.
- Ensure all works are completed to the highest applicable standards.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive, timely records and documentation.
- Utilize CMMS to plan, record, and document the planned maintenance work.
- Participate in insurance and safety audits.
- Contribute to cost-saving and efficiency-related initiatives.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Organization's Engineering and Operations management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Fitter certification - completion of a recognized apprenticeship to QQI Level 6 advanced certificate or equivalent.
- Extensive and relevant maintenance experience in mechanical facilities, systems, conveyor systems, plant, and equipment.
- Demonstrable understanding of building services operations and associated systems.
- Strong practical demonstrable fault finding and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- A good working knowledge of MS Office CMM System.
- Strong independent work initiative, self-motivated with the ability to work closely within the team and with other disciplines.
- Display strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, record-keeping, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible with regard to working hours and available to respond to out-of-hours faults in areas of responsibility.
- Full Class B Driving Licence.
