We have an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator with a well-established employer of choice based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
As Procurement Coordinator, you will report directly to the Procurement Manager and be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate supplier records, and contributing to overall procurement effectiveness.

Key areas of responsibility:

Deliver value for money through the sourcing process while maintaining compliance and a high level of customer service.

Manage and process purchase orders ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment using in-house Oracle ERP system.

Secure quotes/pricing for lower value purchasing.

Proactively support sustainable procurement across the organisation.

Maintain and update the procurement database.

Ensure compliance with EU, National and internal procurement policies and procedures.

Work with the Procurement team to continue to improve the procurement function and to standardise documentation.

Provide internal Business Units with a focal point for administration services associated with sourcing and procuring of goods, services and works.

Work closely with the Finance teams to ensure that all financial requirements in supplier selection are accurate and up to date.

Document management and filing per agreed procedures.

Ensure all GDPR requirements and all related data is managed in compliance with the relevant regulations.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Experience in Oracle ERP system will be an advantage.

Third level qualification (Minimum FETAC Level 6).

Purchasing/Procurement experience is required.

Public Sector Purchasing/Procurement experience will be an advantage for an interested candidate.

Ability to recognise and escalate risks appropriately.

Process-oriented with analytical skills, high level of attention to detail while working within defined procedures and policies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.

Excellent IT skills (Microsoft office).
