An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Procurement Co-Ordinator to join a well renowned client based in Co. Clare.

The Procurement Co-Ordinator will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, purchase order management, maintenance of accurate supplier records and contributing to the overall procurement effectiveness. The position will report to the Group Procurement Manager. This role will offer opportunity for career progression and development.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Deliver value for money through the sourcing process while maintaining compliance and improving customer service.
  • Manage and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment using the in-house Oracle ERP system.
  • Secure quotes/pricing for lower value purchasing.
  • Proactively support sustainable procurement across the Group.
  • Maintain and update the procurement database.
  • Ensure compliance with EU, national, and internal procurement policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Group Procurement team to continue to improve the procurement function and standardize documentation.
  • Provide internal business units with a focal point for administration services associated with sourcing and procuring goods, services, and works.
  • Work closely with the Finance teams to ensure that all financial requirements in supplier selection are accurate and up to date.
  • Manage and file documents according to agreed procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

The candidate should have:

  • Experience in Oracle ERP system will be an advantage.
  • Third-level qualification (minimum FETAC Level 6).
  • Purchasing/procurement experience is required. Public sector purchasing/procurement experience will be an advantage for an interested candidate.
  • Ability to recognize and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Process-oriented with analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail while working within defined procedures and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office).
