As the Production Leader, you will spearhead the daily operations of your team, ensuring reliability and consistency in our product offerings. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and implementing an operational annual plan for departmental activities, thereby driving efficiency and excellence across the board. Utilise your expertise and knowledge to propose enhancements in products, processes, procedures, and capacity planning.
As Production Leader you will be responsible for:
- Working safely, promoting health and safety as a priority across the site, and holding the entire team accountable for workplace health and safety.
- Leading quality across the value stream and managing all non-conformances during the production process.
- Ensuring customer on-time delivery remains a priority in everything you do.
- Overseeing the relevant production line's operations, staff, and facilities, including all matters related to the production of the company's specified products and managing production personnel.
- Planning and organizing production according to the agreed schedule, while managing capacity and resources across the value stream.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to implement process improvements and lean initiatives within the value stream.
- Contributing new ideas to a diverse and highly inclusive leadership team, while actively participating in site leadership meetings.
- Ensuring production meets required goals in terms of timing and quality, aligned with the company's customers' requirements.
- Driving quarterly revenue targets for the value stream and meeting all KPIs across the VST.
Candidates should possess:
- Experience in people leadership and overseeing all production activities.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing).
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem identification and solution skills, with proven analytical and organizational ability.
