We currently have an excellent opportunity for Warehouse Operator with Shannon based multinational Aviation client.   Position will be offered on an initial 6 month contract with significant opportunity for the longer term.  

Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

Essential Job Function

  • Labelling & allocating bin locations for new material that is received to stock.
  • Shipping of all product types including Dangerous goods as per company procedures. 
  • Compiling reports for customer unserviceable parts. 
  • All aspects of Receiving for Vendor supplied materials and Customer supplied materials. 
  • Follow the receiving procedure to maintain full accuracy and ensure correct certification is always supplied and imputed on the ERP system. 
  • Ensure all customer requirements for receiving customer owned stock are followed.
  • Perform material cycle counts & periodic stock checks as required. 
  • Ensure stock is stored in accordance with storage conditions as set out in stores procedures and that storage temperature & humidity levels are within limits.
  • Receipt of stock into the ERP system
  • Comply with departmental 5S standards and participation in the 5S in accordance with dept roster. 
  • Provide a good customer service to in-house and external customers.
  • Complying with all Aviation regulations. 
  • Liaising with Production and all Internal departments for Logistic Services. 
  • Ensuring all deliveries of commercial type material are matched to relevant purchase order, received on the ERP system & all relevant paperwork checked & filed.
  • Providing cross-departmental support for Materials & Logistics as required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Material team leader.

 Candidate Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate (minimum). 
  • Previous Stores / Warehouse experience in the aviation industry.
  • Forklift driving experience an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Knowledge of industry and personal safety requirements. Demonstrates an excellent safety behaviour and attitude. Be always commercially aware. 
  • Be computer literate with experience in working with modern ERP systems. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail. 
  • Have a strong work ethic, be reliable, self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude, and be very customer service oriented.
  • Be willing to be cross trained and become proficient in all areas of the Materials Dept 
  • A Team player with a passion and enthusiasm for the company values & brand.

Typical Working Conditions

  • Must satisfy and maintain the required medical standard.
  • Work is performed on site in Shannon.
  • PPE is provided, and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
  • Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements.
