Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in the maintenance and development of critical facilities infrastructure.
This role is being offered as an initial 12-month contract, with a significant opportunity for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a strong safety culture in all aspects of facilities work.
- Support the Facilities Manager in leading and managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from initiation to completion, including feasibility studies, cost analysis, project planning, and execution.
- Oversee service provider contracts within the electrical and mechanical domains, ensuring compliance with performance standards.
- Assist with environmental and hazardous waste management processes.
- Coordinate and support:
- Preventative maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and building infrastructure.
- Facilities Technicians and external service providers in completing maintenance and reactive work requests.
- The adaptation of facility work processes to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- The execution and documentation of service inspections and facilities work requests.
- Ensure contractors have the necessary documentation before commencing work.
- Rotate between Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, or Floater roles as required.
- Provide on-call support as part of a team roster.
- Support the implementation and management of a Computer-Aided Facilities Management system.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices, verifying work completion.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Electrical Craftsperson, having completed a four-year apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in an industrial facilities maintenance environment.
- Desirable experience in HVAC, 10kV distribution systems, UPS systems, elevators, and fire detection/protection systems.
- Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) operations.
- Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and assertiveness skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, self-motivation, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
