We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a leading multinational medical device company based in Limerick City. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality, this role offers an initial 6-month contract with excellent potential for long-term opportunities.

Responsibilities: 

•    Conduct laboratory analytical and physical testing for incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products according to specified test methods. Release incoming raw materials as per protocol.

•    Participate in Laboratory Out of Specification (OOS) investigations and contribute to problem-solving activities within the QC Department.

•    Review documentation and systems to ensure compliance with ISO requirements.

•    Maintain test data and laboratory records in accordance with ISO standards.

•    Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

•    Manage calibration of laboratory equipment.

•    Perform routine maintenance tasks on laboratory equipment as needed.

•    Assist in training personnel on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Test Methods.

•    Undertake other QC-related duties and cross-functional projects as assigned.

•    Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the QC Laboratory following 5S and Good Laboratory Practice guidelines.

•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the department.

Job Specification:

•    Minimum Diploma in Chemistry or Materials Science required.

•    At least 2 years of experience as a technician with hands-on GC, HPLC, and FTIR operations.

•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•    Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.

•    Proficiency in mathematical calculations, basic computer skills, and documentation.

•    Physical capability to stand for long periods (up to 80% of the day), tolerate various chemical odors, and perform physical tasks associated with laboratory work and facility inspections.
