eFlexes has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant with a well-established, high-profile company based in Shannon.
The successful candidate will join the Group Finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day financial reporting as well as the monthly and annual consolidation processes.
Preparation and posting of month-end journals
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns and other required reporting
Posting of bank and credit card-related transactions
Circulation of monthly reports
Assisting with monthly/annual consolidation and management accounts processes
Supporting the Group’s budgeting and reforecasting processes
Contributing to the ongoing development and testing of internal systems and controls
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Engaging proactively with internal and external auditors when required
Assisting with ad hoc analysis and one-off projects
Supporting other administrative tasks as needed, e.g., supplier master file maintenance
Performing other tasks as may reasonably be required
Accounting Technician qualification or working towards a relevant accountancy qualification preferred
Candidates with relevant experience in a similar role will also be considered
Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (especially Excel)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is an advantage but not essential
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative
Ability to meet strict deadlines with a flexible, hands-on approach
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
