Financial Controller

Reporting to the Global Controller, the Finance Controller will be based in Shannon, and also oversee Controllership of a small sister site in the USA.
This is a permanent position offering the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements, excellent benefits, and a salary commensurable with experience.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all controllership related activities for both the Shannon and US site, where you will be supported by the local Site Controller who reports directly to this position. As Financial Controller, you will have full ownership for the integrity of all financial statements for both sites.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership for the integrity of all financial statements for both sites, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statements.
- Reviewing detailed Balance Sheets for both sites to ensure all balances are reported accurately and in compliance with the Company and US GAAP policies.
- Support all Quarterly reporting requirements including Quarterly BSAT & DR submissions.
- Provide input for Quarterly Pre-close discussion and detailed input and analysis for annual Pre-close deep dive.
- Manage detailed reviews of both Income Statement and Cashflow Statements to ensure both are accurately reported and aligned with Company policies and US GAAP requirements.
- Manage all Closing and reporting activities for both sites in so far as they affect the Balance Sheet with the exception of Supply Chain and Inventory related activities.
- Partner with local operational teams to ensure both sites have sound and robust processes/controls.
- Communication/support to operational teams of all relevant Company policies.
Candidates will require:
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Proven experience in Finance or Controllership roles
- A clear understanding of local statutory accounting requirements
- Good knowledge of accounting and finance laws (US GAAP and local)
- Operational and finance experience of SAP ERP system
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
