Opportunity:
Exciting new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients well known growing business. As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the electrical design of innovative automation solutions. You will be involved in proposal development, working closely with other departments and reviewing project progress against schedules. You will ensure that Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics are accurately created for all projects and create electrical documentation and sign off documentation for technicians.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years in an Electrical Design Engineer role
• Degree in Electronic/electrical engineering or similar
Responsibilities:
• Develop architecture, schedules and costs for new projects and clients (Proposal development)
• Attend Project meetings and Design reviews
• Review project progress against schedules
• Create Bills of Materials
• Ensure Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics are accurately created for all projects
• Create Electrical Documentation
• Sign Off Documentation for technicians
• Direct Technician staff on specific projects
• Project manage build and installation of projects
• Travel may be required
Key Skills & Attributes:
• Ability to work on your own & as part of team
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent technical skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experienced in a machine building environment or complex controls environment
• Experienced in dealing with customers/clients and have experience in proposal development
• Experienced in determining project time lines deliver to budget and schedule
• Experienced in technical design and specification of automation equipment
• Experienced in motor sizing and control system selection
• Extensive knowledge in the design of Electrical and Pneumatics Safety and Control systems
• Experienced in the creation of the Schematics
• Knowledge of the following systems EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical
• Possess the ability to fault find electrical issues on all projects
• Working knowledge of CE Certification is an advantage
