Our Clare based client has a new position available for an APA qualified, Claims Assessor at their office in Ennis. 
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Claims Assessor will Assess and process claims and provide exceptional customer service to policy holders.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Assess and process an average of 80 claims per day (average calculated over the month) within the terms and conditions of the cash plan, ensuring customers are treated fairly and that all business is conducted in a way that is compliant with GDPR
  • Answer and resolve all queries received by you by email (either directly or to the group inbox when you are covering this), or that are presented by the policy holder by telephone. Ensuring exceptional levels of customer service is maintained throughout
  • Reply to general correspondence from policy holders
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Assist with the prompt answering of all incoming telephone calls
  • Undertake other general clerical duties to be carried out as directed
  • Strive to continually improve personal performance to achieve excellent service levels for the team, meeting key performance indicators and targets 
  • Take responsibility for continuous self-development and own learning
  • Maintain co-operative relationships with all  departments by supporting colleagues.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent
  • APA Qualification - essential
  • Previous experience of handling and assessing insurance claims, preferably in the health insurance / personal accident market
  • An eye for detail, self-driven and conscientious individual
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Must be able to effectively work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in business English written and verbal is essential.
