CNC TURNING OPERATOR / SETTER – Evening Shift

Our Shannon based Client is a progressive precision component manufacturer utilising modern CNC equipment to produce precision components for the Aerospace and Medical Device industries worldwide.   

Due to continued expansion and a growing customer portfolio, they now have an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to work within their CNC Turning Department.

This is a permanent position offering opportunity to progress and develop within a growing company.

The Evening Shift position operates Monday – Thursday, from 4.30pm – 3.00am

The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant and similar CNC turning and be confident to take on small batch to one off complex component on several material types. Being confident and proficient in the following will be a distinct advantage although training can be provided on certain areas.

• Set up machine, Measure & Set tooling, Bore jaws, Prep Material etc
• Operate lathes with Sub-Spindle / Single turret
• Ability to work with various types of material from Cobalt Chrome, Titanium, Plastics and Stainless Steel.
• In-Depth understanding of geometric tolerances
• Completing First article Inspection on components
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced busy environment producing quality work to a high standard.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation.
• Fluent English is essential
