Stores Person- West Cork
Eflexes Recruitment are currently working with their long established manufacturing client based in the west cork region in the recruitment of a Mechanical Stores Person. This role will be based in the stores department of a busy manufacturing plant. These stores hold approximately 6,000 products mainly mechanical components and production material. Strong Mechanical knowledge and aptitude are essential for this role.
We are seeking a Full Time Stores Person on a Permanent basis- Monday to Friday day shift and occasional overtime.
Job Descriptions:
• Issuing consumable items and engineering stores items to the production departments
• Manage the stock control systems
• Ensure adequate levels of regular stock items are maintained
• Perform regular stock takes
• Ensure the cleanliness and workplace organisation of the storeroom is maintained at all times.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Ensure compliance with all company and statutory Health & Safety requirements
• Notification of deliveries received when appropriate
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years in a similar Stores Operative role in a manufacturing environment
• A strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude is essential.
• Strong background in stock management, rotation, cycle counting
• Strong IT Skills essential and must have experience using a Warehouse Management system
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Flexible, with the ability to work with minimum direction as part of a engineering team.
