We are recruiting a Purchasing Manager for our client basedin Shannon Co.Clare.

Purchasing Manager Shannon
• Overseeing the full purchasing department
• Establishing Buyer goals based on corporate inventory needs
• Proving Leadership and direction to cross-functional team
• Ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards
• Proposing improvements to the purchasing system, invoicing and collecting process
• creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses
• Execute systems on time delivery and process improvement.
• Provide sales projections for the coming year
• Be part of the team to effect short-term and some long-term business goals
• Collaborating with inventory control to develop metrics for gauging inventory
Essential experience and education requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and/or related field of APICS certification
• Strong SAP software experience
• Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Statistically literate and familiar with Six Sigma quality concepts and tools
