Occupational Therapists - Clare

HealthcareDirect are currently looking to employ a part time Occupational Therapist to complete ad hoc housing and seating assessments in Co Clare as well as cover for monthly nursing home sessions. You will work in a fully supported environment lead by our Occupational Therapy Clinical Manager and be given the opportunity to work autonomously in the private healthcare sector. The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

• Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience
• Functional and activities of daily living assessments including seating and housing assessments
• Prescribing assistive equipment, seating such as tilt in space wheelchairs and minor adaptations e.g. grab rails, raised toilet seats, bed levers
• Writing Occupational Therapy reports
• Working with older adults to provide assessment and intervention
• Liaising with resident’s families and other relevant agencies

   

Desirable experience:

• Housing Assessments and Specialist Seating Reports
• Major adaptations e.g. stair lift, ramp access, level access bathroom
• Working with older adults with dementia

Prerequisites:

• CORU registration
• Membership of the AOTI
• Full driver’s license and access to a car
• Private Indemnity Insurance
